National Organization Was Lost Sometime In The Past
The Replacement Shown Below Was Issued May,1975
In early 1959 an Informal
group of Officers met to
determine if a TROA Chapter
should be formed in Wichita,
Kansas.
The Wichita Chapter was
formed 19 June 1959 and
received it’s Charter of
Affiliation from National
MOAA (Then TROA, The Retired
Officers Association) on 25
August, 1959.
At that time the Chapter was
one of only 83 Local Chapters
affiliated with the National
Organization. The Chapter has
been in continuous operation
for 50 years as of 24 August,
2009.
The Chapter changed it’s name
to the - Wichita, Kansas
Chapter, The Military Officers
Association of America (MOAA)
- on 1 January, 2003 to
recognize the National
Organization’s name change.
